International Museum Day

International Museum Day aims to highlight the importance of museums in cultural exchange, mutual understanding and cooperation between communities. Celebrated for the first time 40 years ago, it brings together over 37,000 museums in nearly 156 countries every year.

This year’s theme, “Museums, Education and Research”, highlights the central role of cultural institutions in providing a holistic educational experience. This day is an opportunity to promote a conscious, sustainable and inclusive world.
